We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers' field operations in multiple locations across the country. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and servicing electrical systems and industrial controls at client sites, ensuring smooth operation of power systems and delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities
Perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, LV/MV switchgear, and PLC controls.
Conduct system diagnostics and address technical issues to ensure minimal downtime and efficient system operation.
Support system startups and commissioning, ensuring systems are operational and meet customer specifications.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers during service visits, resolving technical issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Provide basic training to customers on system operation and basic maintenance.
Document service activities, including providing test reports and feedback on system performance.
Maintain accurate records of time tracking, service work, and inventory on-site.
Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
Utilize remote troubleshooting tools when applicable to resolve issues quickly and reduce downtime.
Ensure all work adheres to company safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and industry standards.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a field service technician, with a focus on power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial controls.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with field service management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently, with overnight stays to visit customer sites and locations across the country.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Nice-to-haves
Certifications such as NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, or other relevant technical certifications are a plus.
Familiarity with industry-standard test equipment (e.g., multimeters, breaker test sets).
Basic experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and protective relay systems is a plus.

Base Salary $90K-$125K – Previous Switchgear/PLC field service experience required.
