Outside Sales Representative - Remote Position

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for increasing service sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers while working to identify, qualify and close new business in the mission critical industry. The position is responsible for growing the business in the US and Canada and reports directly to the Vice President, Sales.


DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focus on exceeding assigned sales targets by selling service contracts to new and existing customers

  • Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers based within the assigned sales territory

  • Follow up on potential sales leads provided by the VP, Sales

  • Build and sustain long lasting relationships with new and existing customers

  • Responsible for solution development, pricing, and proposal responses

  • Maintain an accurate pipeline of opportunities equaling at least 5x of assigned quota

  • Travel within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers

  • Continually meet or exceed sales targets by selling company service contracts to new and existing customers

  • Develop and implement an effective sales strategy to drive sales

  • Maintain an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales in Salesforce

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to expand brand presence through the creation of suitable marketing materials

  • Research competitors' products and pricing, as well as market conditions, to aid with a winning strategy to close new business

  • Keep abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events

  • Make outbound calls to sell company products

  • Maintain a professional company image at all times

  • Identify opportunities to improve sales performance

  • Recommend improvements to the sales team to boost performance


Post-sale responsibilities include:

  • Manage kick-off calls with the internal team as well as customers

  • Provide assistance with invoice disputes

  • Routine customer check-ins to assess Company performance satisfaction

  • Quarterly and yearly business review presentations


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR

  • At least five years of related service sales experience required.


Salary

Base Salary of $100K+ with uncapped commission. Travel 40%.
